May EVENTS:review be the first to spoil your summer (if that’s what the last few rain-sodden months have a right to be called) by reminding you about Christmas.

If you still need to book your Christmas party, then you’re probably finding it difficult to find anywhere available – after all you should really have done this months ago. But if you’re based near London then fear not, as EVENTS:review has come across an option that can accommodate both small and large numbers, is in a great new venue, and, more importantly, has spaces available.

Best Parties Ever have just released their dates for what sound like fun Jazz Age and Prohibition-themed parties to be held at the recently converted 1920s theatre Troxy, located in Stepney, East London.

As the big London venues, including Billingsgate and HAC, have sold out of all nights except for Tuesdays, this is highly likely to be the only venue in town with such a large capacity with prime dates still available. What’s more, it won’t cost the earth, with prices starting from £54.50 a head.

“The Troxy will make the 1920s theme all-the-more authentic, thanks to the grand staircase and original Tiffany stained-glass ceiling,” commented Best Parties Ever managing director Tim Stevens. “Partygoers will find themselves in Chicago of 1928, with prohibition in full swing and bootlegging gangs ruling the streets. Whispering the secret password will gain them entry into the shadowy world of the speakeasy. They can then head for the hot and lively Jumpin' Jazz Bar to hear the a live band, or chill out with champagne accompanied by foot tappin' jazz tunes.

“The jazz performances continue through a superb four-course dinner, followed by exhilarating bursts of Showgirl Cabaret,” Stevens continued. “Then, it's time to find guests the illicit gambling den and try their luck at roulette and blackjack or dance the night away.”

Of course, most of you will already have arranged your festive bash, and some of the more organised among you will soon be kicking off plans for 2008. With this in mind, EVENTS:review will shortly be running a guide to getting your annual company party right.
