Some 87 entries have been submitted for the EIBTM 2007 Meeting and Incentive Industry Awards, making it the most popular year to date, with agencies submitting events from corporate clients such as Vodaphone, BT, Honda, BMW, L’Oreal, Mercedes, Barclays Bank and Porsche.

These awards recognise the contribution, creativity and dedication of meetings and incentives professionals enabling them to achieve global recognition and exposure for their outstanding events and campaigns. The six categories will reward excellence, innovation, creativity and skill across all events and marketing campaigns.

This year marks the introduction of a new Best Special Event category to recognise the most imaginative and impactful stand alone events from awards ceremonies to charity events. This award has received the most entries of all award categories for 2007.

The full list of EIBTM 2007 Awards categories include:
– Best Special Event
– Best Conference
– Best Conference
– Best Product Launch
– Best Incentive Programme
– Best Marketing Campaign

Judging will take place on 18 October by an international panel of EIBTM Awards Media Partners from within the meetings and incentives industry and will be chaired by industry expert Jeremy Garbett. Winners will be announced at EIBTM during a special awards ceremony.

The WorldWide Technology Watch competition has also received a record number of entries from 40 different companies and forms part of EIBTM’s focus on new technology solutions for the meetings industry. The competition is dedicated to discovering the latest technological innovations that will have a positive impact on meetings, events, incentive travel, conferences and exhibitions. The judging will take place on 1 October.

EIBTM will take place from 27 to 29 November 2007, at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona.
