UK independent hotel accommodation, business travel and conference and event management agency Expotel has been awarded a position on the National Police Business Travel Framework following a tough tender process.
Framework status was won through scoring highly in six areas: travel management, rail, hotel, conferences, air and other services. The framework is for three years with one year's option and is available to all emergency services within the UK.
Expotel is currently working through an implementation phase for potential new customers while continuing to work with its existing emergency service customers.
"We will be able to fulfil the framework's business travel requirements and will ensure we achieve a cost-effective service, while maintaining the service standards delivery," said James Newall, Expotel's Public Sector Account Manager.
Meanwhile, David Wilson, contracts officer at Devon & Cornwall Police, which manages the Framework, said: "Expotel was in the top two suppliers as determined by our comprehensive scoring matrix and scored highly with regard to technical expertise, pricing and facilities on offer. We expect that its considerable experience will be able to provide the framework with effective solutions and significant savings."
