Visit London has joined forces with Eventia and the Barbican as part of the organisations’ collective support for National Meetings Week 2007.

As part of the partnership, the Barbican will be hosting a Visit London and Eventia buyer and partner networking evening on Thursday 18 October, during the promotional week, one of the key fixtures of this years’ campaign.

“Our buyer and supplier members relish the opportunity to network and National Meetings Week reminds us to celebrate our industry’s contribution to the UK’s cultural legacy,” said Eventia’s executive director Izania Downie. “Partnering Visit London and the Barbican on 18 October will add further value to what already promises to be a popular event.”

National Meetings Week 2007 will focus on how the industry helps sustain the UK’s cultural legacy, and there are few venues more globally recognised than the Barbican for its cultural input. Both Eventia and Visit London boast similarly impressive venues as part of their membership and the networking event presents an opportunity for the industry to take a closer look at their collective contributions.

“This is a great opportunity for buyers to mix with Visit London partners, industry stakeholders and members of Eventia during one of the key promotional weeks for this industry,” said Zanine Adams, UK ales manager at Visit London, “We, the Barbican and Eventia are firm supporters of National Meetings Week and the need to bang the drum for the industry.”
