Exhibition companies Brooklands Group and the Golf Show Group have come together at ExCeL London to promote their shows in an exciting joint venture. The London Golf Show and overseas property event A Place in the Sun Live both take place at ExCeL London, from 25-27 April 2008, and, because there is expected to be a significant crossover in the demographic of visitors to each show, purchasing a ticket to one will automatically allow entry to the other.
The joint ticket initiative was a natural one to implement, according to the Golf Show Group’s managing director, Andy Barwell. “A large number of overseas property purchases, in the UK market, are made by golfers looking for more clement climes in which to enjoy their sport,” he said. “So, there is a synergy with regards to the visitor marketplace for both shows; many of the people looking to buy abroad will be golfers. So we felt it would be mutually beneficial to drive visitors to each other’s event.”
Ken Pritchard, group event director for A Place in the Sun Live, added: “By working together with the London Golf Show, we can add to the visitor experience and offer twice the incentive to visit ExCeL London.”
The London Golf Show will return to ExCeL for its fourth annual show while the Golf Show Group – the company behind the event – is still celebrating the enormous success of the launch of a sister event, The Golf Show, NEC Birmingham, in November.
A Place in the Sun Live has four overseas property shows in different parts of the UK in 2008 and aims to help people find their dream place in the sun, whether for a great investment, an idyllic holiday home, retirement property or a permanent home abroad.
