The booming meetings and events market in Scotland has convinced industry PR specialist Davies Tanner to open a new branch in Edinburgh to serve the market.

Davies Tanner – Scotland will formally launch and open for business later in the spring. When it does, it will be the first in a series of planned new offices for Davies Tanner.

“I was in Scotland last year to speak at a business tourism conference and was extremely impressed by the range and quality of venues on offer,” commented Robert Wright, managing director of Davies Tanner. “It’s a sophisticated and expanding market, with aspirations to grow as an international destination. I believe there are many venues in Scotland that have already recognised that strategic PR and marketing support will help them achieve this.”

top conference destinations

Wright continues: "We’re already surveying the opportunities that exist in other UK regions, such as the Midlands and North West. With several large hotels and dedicated conference and convention centres in these areas, a considerable business opportunity exists and we're keen to offer a local service to them."
