Exhibiting show rebrand reflects increasingly experiential nature of events

One of the UK’s leading trade shows for exhibitions and events is changing its name to Excite!

The Exhibiting Show, which celebrate its fifth anniversary in June this year at Earls Court, has doubled in size to over 3,000 visitors since launching in 2004.

According to the organisers, the Excite! seminar programme, launched at last year’s show, was overflowing with delegates, the annual event spend of show visitors double to £660 million and a 16% increase in attendance took visitor numbers over 3,000 for the first time.

The new look event will cover experiential marketing, exhibitions, events, product launches and roadshows.

“The old distinctions no longer apply, and the new name of Excite! reflects the inspirational nature of the exhibitions, experiential marketing and events our exhibitors help to create,” said event director John Sanders. “Visitors to the show want inspiration for their face-to-face marketing in all its forms.”

Excite! also promises a radical new format. Relocating to Earls Court’s Brompton Hall, the show will have a massive increase in networking, seminar and workshop opportunities with a carefully controlled number and size of exhibition stands.

“We’re determined to help visitors to the show find what they want more easily,” continues Sanders, “and that means deliberately showcasing and promoting innovation. We’re also committed to helping exhibitors maximise their return, which means creating an environment field where innovation and creativity can flourish.”

The new format is a blend of networking, conference, exhibition, workshop and celebration, according to the organisers, and represents “a new way of looking at the business of events”. The event will continue to run on its 24-25 June timeline.

“Excite! isn’t simply aimed at helping brands and corporates get more from their experiential marketing and exhibition engagement,” said show founder Simon Burton. “It will also play a vital role in fostering and nurturing connections within our industry and between the disciplines that make it up.

“Excite! takes the amazing qualities of Exhibiting Show and puts them into a new and modern context. Excite! is about more business contacts, more networking, more learning and more inspiration.”
