EMAP Conferences has significantly increased the number of conferences it holds at Earls Court, which is normally associated with larger scale events like exhibitions. Over the first six months of the year, the conference organiser has used either the purpose-built Earls Court Conference Centre or the venue’s private meeting rooms to hold more than 20 events.
EMAP has used Earls Court’s conference facilities since 2000 and has steadily increased the frequency of events held at the venue. In total, Earls Court has hosted over 60 conferences or meetings for EMAP of varying size and format. Larger events are held in the purpose-built Earls Court Conference Centre, which accommodates up to 250 people with exclusive use. For smaller conferences and seminars, EMAP uses the highly flexible space offered by private meeting rooms located on Level One of Earls Court One.
Commenting on the increase in conference business, EMAP conferences’ Alexa Evans said: “The variety of different spaces at Earls Court is ideal for the many different events we organise. The exceptional service we receive combined with a venue that is so easy to get to ensures all our events at Earls Court are a success and that’s why we are using the venue more and more.”
Des Alexandrou, conference sales manager at EC&O Venues, said: “We are committed to ensuring the service we provide is second to none and the growth in the number of events EMAP are holding at Earls Court is testament to this commitment and responsiveness.”
