Food design and event management company Tapenade has been awarded the corporate event management contract for the A1 Grand Prix – billed as the ‘World Cup of Motor Sports’ – through its 2006-2007 season.
The company will be handling corporate hospitality at the twice-monthly events in far flung locations such as China, Malaysia, the US and Czech Republic. As part of the deal, it will oversee everything from the branding, menus, staff ratio and uniforms to sourcing the venues.

Food by design: Tapenade dresses to impress
Tapenade director Tim Stevens said: “We will establish a brand that will be evident at each of the A1GP events – it’s vital that the guests, teams and sponsors have a consistent experience of the brand across all venues.”
The company received this booking as a direct result of its work at the Ryder Cup where it managed the corporate hospitality and catering for 5,000 guests. Tapenade director Paul Vesper commented: “We received serious enquiries from new contacts during the Ryder Cup. It’s wonderful to know that your work is being appreciated and nothing illustrates this more than gaining bookings based upon a genuine ‘tried and tested’ basis.”
