Angell Business School in Freiburg (ABSF) has responded to the rapid
growth of the global meetings and events industry in Germany by
becoming the first, and only, educational establishment in the country
to offer a Masters in International Event Management.
Robert
Wetterauer, the managing director of ABSF, said: “The demand for
professionals of the event industry is urgent. Due to this need, we
introduced the Master in International Event Management as the ideal
stepping stone for professionals of the event industry.”
The
programme is nationally and internationally accredited in cooperation
with the University of Brighton, in the UK. The School of Service
Management in Brighton, which designed the course has, furthermore,
been accredited by the Hotel Catering and International Management
Association (HCIMA), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the
World Tourism Organization (WTO).
ABSF also offers a Master in Tourism Management (MA) and the Master in Hospitality (MA) as part-time programmes.
The
Master programmes are especially designed for professionals. The
courses consist of one monthly weekend study block during the first
three semesters and a master thesis in the fourth semester.
