EVENTS:review columnist Jeremy Garbett has resigned from his position as joint UK managing director of Jack Morton Worldwide.
Garbett, who has spearheaded Jack Morton’s UK development along with colleague Julian Pullan, said that leaving the live marketing agency had been a very tough decision. However, he added: “It is the right time to move on after 18 years with Jack Morton.”
Garbett would not be drawn on his future plans, saying he was still considering staying in the industry, but that this could be as a consultant or as part of an organisation.
Although Garbett led Jack Morton’s UK operation, he was also heavily involved in the global agency’s international projects, particularly in the developing economies. It would, therefore, make sense for him to continue the international scope apparent in his recent work.
Commenting on Garbett’s departure, Lois Jacobs, president, international, Jack Morton Worldwide, said: “We are very appreciative of all that Jeremy Garbett did for the company during the 18 years he spent with us and we wish him well.”
