Telford is set to host the first ever trade show for members of the Leisure and  Outdoor Furniture Association.

The new SOLEX event will be held at The International Centre in July 2008, and chairman of LOFA, John Smye, said the trade show was the most exciting news for their members since the organisation was formed 40 years’ ago. “There was overwhelming support for the new SOLEX event from the LOFA members who are closest to their customers, the buyers,” he added.

“Many buyers have also welcomed the new show, as it will give them the opportunity to see all the major suppliers under one roof, with a focus on garden furniture and barbecues.”

Dominic Fleming, head of sales at The International Centre, Telford, said: “It is fantastic news that LOFA have chosen The International Centre for their new trade show. Our facilities are an ideal fit for the needs of the event, which will make use of all three of our main event halls for the exhibition, as well as our main banqueting suite for the exhibitor party.”
