Earls Court targets Christmas party market

The increasing attempts of those venues traditionally associated with exhibitions to attract corporate clients was highlighted recently with the announcement that London’s Earls Court is opening its doors for Christmas parties. The news gives companies yet another option when organising their annual do’s for employees and customers in the capital.

Many large venues have been keen to get over the quality of their conference facilities, playing down their role as exhibition spaces, and the move by Earls Court to tap into to the Christmas party market is a further attempt at diversification and attracting a broader client base. Earls Court has joined forces with Impulse Events to create an After Show Party theme, giving guests a chance to celebrate Christmas in the style of the stars.

Commenting on the development, Vanessa Whybro, special events manager at EC&O Venues, which owns Earls Court, said: “We are very excited by the prospect of Christmas parties at Earls Court. We have a wealth of experience in hosting special events for our customers – parties, dinners and award ceremonies like the BRITs – and it is great to have the opportunity to bring that expertise and customer service to our own events. This is a new market for us and we will be building on our experience this year to create a wider Christmas and seasonal party offering for next year. The partnership with Impulse means we will create a stunning experience for our guests in December.”

The parties will be held during December in the Museum Hall at Earls Court, which can accommodate up to 500 guests, with prices starting at £75 per head.
