Organisers of HSC 07, Brintex, held at The International Centre, in Telford, were so impressed with the venue, they’ve already booked up for future events.

The two-day event for professionals working at all levels in the street works and network management industry took place in the town for the first time in May. Now organisers have confirmed that thanks to the success of the event, they will be bringing a second show to Telford later this year – Cold Comfort – A Climate for Change, which is a sister event to HSC.

“This was the sixth year we have held the show, which has previously taken place in Cardiff, but we decided to move it to Telford because of the excellent transport links and central location that the venue offers,” said David Thomas of Brintex.

The second show will take place in September. “The move to Telford offers us a much larger exhibition space, which means we can exhibit plant and vehicles within the halls,” said Thomas. “The conference has now also become a two-day event, so we can offer delegates a more in-depth insight into maintaining the highways through the difficult winter months.”

Tom Gray, chief executive at The International Centre, was delighted with the booking. “We pride ourselves on our high-quality customer service, and we often find that once event organisers realise the value for money they can find at a regional venue such as ours, coupled with the convenient location, they’re keen to return at the earliest opportunity,” he said.
