Broadcast technology magazine Televisual awarded first place in its Corporate 50 to PCI Fitch, which created the innovative experience that publicised the Army’s recent Everest expedition. This comprehensive annual survey of the corporate production sector gauges the state of the market and ranks the major players within the industry. Companies are scored based upon five criteria: turnover for corporate work, their reputation among their peers, number of video commissions, hours of content delivered and number of staff.

Peter Cowie, PCI Fitch’s managing director, said: “It’s been an exhilarating 12 months for PCI Fitch. Just one of our creative challenges has been to bring every moment of the Army’s Everest expedition in to the lives of potential recruits. From video podcasts to mobile content, blogs and Google Earth integration, the much talked about media revolution became a reality as we turned a remote event into an involving experience at www.armyoneverest.mod.uk. The way in which this material was used, distributed and shared went beyond simple transmission. New technologies bring new possibilities for the way in which we engage audiences creatively through both our film and live experience work. Audiences are turned on by it and so are we.”
