With cost saving becoming increasingly important to both datacentre operators and companies who operate their own IT server rooms, Data Centre World Conference & Expo has announced that it will run a free-to-attend conference programme.

Featuring case studies and practical advice about reducing energy consumption, the programme will also tackle key IT issues such as business continuity and disaster recovery, security, infrastructure, proximity location and data centre design.

Taking place at Barbican in February 2009 in the heart of the City of London, Data Centre World is the largest gathering of data centre professionals in the UK and the only dedicated exhibition for this burgeoning sector.

“Data Centre World is the only UK exhibition and conference to focus on the issues surrounding selecting, outsourcing, building and running a data centre,” commented Sarah Williams of organisers Turret Group. “The aim of the event is to bring together buyers, vendors, channel, facilities and security experts to discuss and debate the future, and learn from best practices.”
