Are you looking to experience a Sufi Meditation Zikr in London?
BLOG: http://sufi-london-meditation.blogspot.com
We have an informal and friendly gathering every Thursday evening.
People of all ages meet together coming from all walks of life and
partake in a group Sufi meditation Zikr.
The Sufi Meditation Zikr lasts for approx 40 mins and consists of
harmoniously chanting Holy names in chorus. First timers can join in at
any point and do not have to repeat the words loudly if they choose not
to. If you do not feel like repeating the words out loud at all then
this is OK too.
Just attending has a Spiritual Benefit.
The intention of the Zikr is to reconnect a 'Spiritual Connection' from
your spirit with your physical being by remembering your
Creator. Just as you need to sustain your physical body with food, your
spirit needs 'Spiritual Food' to awaken and to gain nourishment.
The more this Sufi Meditation practice is adapted, daily & weekly, the
stronger the bond becomes between your physical and spiritual self
which will then start you on your journey to self realization.
The real starting point is recognising you need a Spiritual Guide to
help you on your spiritual journey and these Sufi Meditation sessions
are here to facilitate this. Our spiritual teacher is Sheikh Nazim
Al-Haqqani, Head of the Naqshbandi Sufi Order.
Our venue is located at St.Peter's Church Hall, 59 Elgin Avenue, Maida
Vale, London W9 2DB and held every Thursday evening from 9.00pm -
10.45pm.
(Start time has changed due to the Month of Ramadan but will revert back to start 8.45pm in October 2008.)
The closest Tube is Maida Vale and approx a 10 minute walk towards
Harrow Rd. St.Peter's Church hall is located on the junction of Elgin Avenue
and Chippenham Rd.
This Sufi Meditation Zikr associations have been authorised by Sheikh
Nazim Al-Haqqani of Cyprus, the head of the Naqshabandi Sufi Order.
There is complimentary food and light refreshment afterwards.
We look forward to seeing you there one evening!
