The Meetings Industry Association (MIA) has decided to release its UK Conference Market Survey (UKCMS), produced by the The Right Solution, during National Meetings Week this year, which runs from 15 to 19 October.

As part of a wider review to add more value to MIA membership, the organisation will also be providing its members with a free copy of the report, which in previous years has cost them £155.

“The UK Conference Market Survey is the industry’s leading research and it makes sense for the results to be published alongside one of the industry’s biggest events, National Meetings Week,” said Jane Evans, chief executive of the MIA. “By offering our members a free copy of the UKCMS report, we will be putting it into their hands at a time when many of them will be going through their budgeting process, and the UKCMS is an invaluable business tool at budget time.

“It is important that we continually review the UKCMS, its content and how we present it to the media,” she continued. “Our latest changes are a result of these reviews.”

The UKCMS survey provides an insight into the UK meetings and events market. Information includes volume and value of the market, duration, size, lead times and seasonality of events, and typical delegate profiles.
