EIBTM is continuing to invest in its hosted buyers for 2007 with a series of initiatives dedicated to delivering the best business opportunities, the best networking and the best professional education.

Travel opportunities
Flexibility will be increased for buyers from many Eastern European, Middle Eastern and Scandinavian destinations with two nights’ stays now available enabling hosted buyers to maximise business opportunities. There is a growing emphasis on the internatinal outreach of the show, Hosted Buyers flying in from an increasing number of long haul ports, including Melbourne, Sydney, Johannesburg, Capetown, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Toronto.

Appointment system
EIBTM’s buyer-driven appointment system will see further enhancements to facilitate increased one-to-one business opportunities. Time between appointments will be extended to allow more time for buyers to move around their individual appointments on the larger exhibition floor.

Fam trip

The post EIBTM fam trip programme has had tremendous early interest from European destinations wishing to invite buyers to experience their country, so the programme will be extended for 2007. Destinations on offer to buyers this year will feature among others, Amsterdam, Bilbao, Costa Daurada, Sitges, Valencia and, for the first time, Vienna and Venice.

Education

The professional education programme will also be a key features of this year’s show, with the EIBTM Association Programme for 2007 offering more time on the show floor for Association Executives. The EIBTM Corporate Programme will continue to provide highly targeted professional education for meeting planners from corporate organisations internationally, with high calibre speakers and tailored education content. While the Agency Programme, introduced last year, will offer a morning of structured education specifically meeting the needs of agents, professional conference organisers and independent meeting planners.
