A groundbreaking eco event is set to take the UK by storm and become a landmark for eco awareness. London Aware 08 is taking place in London’s Barbican Centre from 10 to 11 May 2008.
The event has been set up to educate and inform the general public on ways in which they can lead greener lifestyle, covering areas from health to DIY and banking to transport. The event will involve hundreds of companies from across the UK, who will be showcasing products, services and offering advice on reducing our environmental impact.
The list of eco-exhibitors also continues to grow with new companies added each day. The overwhelming response has seen companies such as Riverford and the World Land Trust joining the event and the huge range of companies that are set to take part means that visitors will have a unique opportunity to access the latest information, advice and products on every area of modern life and business.
Danny Carnegie, the man behind the event said: “The sky really is the limit and with the support of likeminded companies and organisations we can ensure that the event will make the biggest possible impact for this and many years to come. Climate change has rarely been out of the headlines in recent months however, many people don’t know or don’t understand where they can make changes to reduce their environmental impact. For many London Aware 08 will be a starting point offering them the inspiration and information that they need to live more sustainably, without sacrificing lifestyle or comfort.
“We are not scientists, activists or radicals, just normal people wanting to help everyone make a real and necessary difference and with the support of the business community we can help to bring this message to the masses.”
