The conference, meetings and incentive travel industry is soon to get a new innovative and sustainable media channel, with the official launch of web TV site MEETINGS:review in January 2008, following a successful trial at global meetings and incentive travel show EIBTM in Barcelona last month.

Reaching more than 50,000 corporate and association planners and agents, the web channel will provide an engaging mix of cutting edge video interviews, up-to-the-minute news, in-depth features and opinions in a format that is not only able to react quickly to a rapidly changing and dynamic industry, but is also recognised as the medium of the future.

“Companies, associations and government are striving for sustainable policies that reduce or offset the carbon footprints of meetings and events while also delivering measurable and meaningful content to their audiences,” said EVENTS:reviews’ editor in chief Ian Whiteling, who, along with Pete Roythorne, will be spearheading the content development of the new web channel. “MEETINGS:review will mirror these environmental, social and content values and we look forward to delivering rich media information to the buyers that will realise the business and tourism objectives of the global meetings community.”
