International Confex has donated £2,000 ahead of the start of Confex 2008 to its chosen charity Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Confex event director, Duncan Reid, said: “We are delighted to be able to make this substantial donation ahead of the show to really kick start this year’s fundraising efforts. It is the third year Confex Group has supported Make-A-Wish and this year we hope to raise even more money for this fantastic charity.”

Karen England, director of fundraising for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, added: “We are really grateful to International Confex for this generous donation. I am sure it will really help in our aim to grant 21 wishes a week by the year 2010.”

Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. The charity was founded in the UK in 1986 and since then has granted more than 4,500 wishes.

If you would like to make a donation, please visit the Make-A-Wish page on the Confex website.
