Meetings industry publication meetme (formally Mice International) has joined forces with Event 360 Exhibition and Conference to create the Middle East Event Awards.

The Middle East Event Awards represent a unique opportunity that will provide a platform to highlight innovation and demonstrate the capabilities of regional event organisers.

The Middle East Event Awards will:
• Reward outstanding achievements in the Middle East events industry
• Encourage innovation, flair and professionalism in the events industry
• Encourage events and event organisers to raise the standards of working practices in the events industry.
• Act as a benchmark and target for all event industry professionals
• Showcase the outstanding achievements of the Middle East events industry to the events industry worldwide.

Seventeen award categories will be judged by an independent panel made up of internationally respected judges from a variety of industry sectors and disciplines. The winners will be presented at a gala lunch in the Al Multaqua Ballroom, Dubai International Exhibition Centre on the 27th April.

The closing date for entries is Friday, 21 March, 2008.
