The International Association for Professional Conference Organisers (IAPCO) has launched a manual containing guidelines for the construction or upgrading of a convention centre.

This latest publication from IAPCO provides an easy-to-use reference manual for developers, architects and anyone planning to build a convention centre for use prior to the design stage.

For an existing venue, the document is a good standard by which to judge where it sits with regard to the requirements necessary to succeed. The publication takes into account the rapid changes in communications technology which impact on the way meetings are planned and managed.

For user of convention centre facilities, the document is a guideline for what to look for when you are choosing a venue.

The report is available free to download on the IAPCO website www.iapco.org (click on “Publications”).
