Such as been the response from exhibitors to the new food-to-go show lunch! that the organisers were recently having to consider enlarging the planned exhibition area.

"With 70 exhibitors already booked, we can confidently look forward to beating our target of 100 quality exhibitors in the first year,” said event manager John Clifton. “The response to the show has been extremely positive. But even better is the quality of those exhibitors, ranging from innovative packaging companies, ingredients, speciality drinks and interiors, to breads, tea and coffee, EPOS [electronic point-of-sale] systems and cakes – in fact, everything you could ever need to run a quality food-to-go business.”

A broad range of quality companies have confirmed, including USmoothie, Innocent Drinks, Nestle, PepsiCo, Walkers, Barclaycard Business and Kraft Foods, to name just a few.

The event will be supported by a high-profile nationwide marketing campaign targeting around 60,000 individual trade buyers, covering independent retailers, multiple retailers and contract caterers.

Taking place at Old Billingsgate in central London on 26-27 September, perhaps the secret of lunch!’s early success is the fact that it has been developed in close consultation with leading industry players, such as Marks and Spencer, Oi Bagel, Pret A Manger, Benugo and O'Briens Sandwich Bars, along with numerous top independent outlets from around the UK.
