London’s Earls Court conference and exhibition venue has announced the appointment of Exhibition Traffic Management Services (ETMS) as its official marshalling contractor as of 1 January 2007. Under the new deal, ETMS will provide year-round parking and marshalling services for Earls Court’s customers, contractors and exhibitors.

“We have an established relationship with the team at Earls Court and are looking forward to working with them on a permanent basis,” said ETMS managing director Gerry Kilsby, who’s company has over 20 years’ experience in this specialised sector.

Effective traffic management is essential for the smooth-running of events at large venues, particularly those based in busy urban locations like Earls Court. The venue’s permanent on-site ETMS team means car park uses are guaranteed seamless customer service from highly trained staff. Both ETMS and Earls Court expressed their commitment to having trained and experienced staff on site to assist with the marshalling of vehicles, as they are often the first point of contact for exhibitors and contractors arriving at the venue.

Commenting on the move, Rachel Parker, customer services director at Earls Court, said: “We work with ETMS on many events and I am delighted that in 2007 our partnership will become official. As experts in their field, ETMS will be a valuable addition to our car parks and traffic team, bringing with them years of experience and an in-depth knowledge of our customers’ requirements.”
