The growing importance of emerging markets within the conference and incentive industry is apparent from the string of new destinations that will be present at this year’s International Confex.“Emerging markets are having a growing influence on the events industry and will continue to do so particularly with the phenomenal rise of the Asian economy, and the rise of China and India on the world’s economic stage,” comments Alison Willis, sales director for the show. “We have seen a 15% increase in the number of exhibitor bookings this year compared to the same time last year, and these new destinations are a welcome addition.”
Places making their Confex debut this year include: Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Egypt, India, Memphis, Chicago and New Orleans. International Confex takes place at London’s Earls Court from 20 to 22 February 2007.
