ExCeL London has recently announced its Association Marketing Package, which offers assistance to association event organisations in marketing their event to potential delegates with the aim of driving up attendance figures.

The package will offer a two-phased approach. The first phase will focus on ‘pre-event marketing support’. This will include information on promotional marketing and material such as logos, location maps and images to use in promotional literature. It will also offer a bespoke website, providing delegates with all the relevant information to make sure they make the most out of their stay in London.

The pre-event marketing support will also offer assistance in sourcing offsite hospitality venues for any type of social function. In addition, the package will be able to offer support to increase sponsorship revenue.

The second phase to the marketing package is the ‘during event marketing support’. This will include things such as providing a welcome desk at London City Airport and at the chosen on-site hotel, a visitor information booth, a London tourist guide book, West End theatre ticket booth, an on-site taxi and chauffeur service, bi-lingual ‘Ask Me’ staff, an ExCeL London food and beverage guide, ExCeL London business service, with a range of facilities for delegate business needs, and finally a Canary Wharf delegate discount card that will offer delegates special discounts for shopping and dining in and around the area.

Vanessa Cotton, ExCeL London’s managing director, conference and events division, said: “ExCeL London is the capital’s only venue to offer such scale and flexibility and is located in an area that is fast becoming the newest leisure and business ‘hotspot’. We hope this new marketing support package will be an invaluable tool to all association event organisers. We want to educate and inspire them about all the new and exciting opportunities and facilities this destination and venue has to offer.”
