To encourage companies to book events in the traditionally quieter months of July and August, around 30 conference, meeting and hospitality venues across Leeds are offering cut price deals.

These include the multi-award winning townhouse hotel 42 The Calls offering state-of-the-art audio visual technology, which has reducing its 24-hour rate from £255 to £190 during July and August, and the De Vere Outen Hall with full conferencing and banqueting facilities, which is cutting 24-hour rates from £195 to £135 over the same period. Day rates are also being slashed.

Commenting on the deals, Nicky Lockwood, manager at Conference Leeds, said: “We did this last year and in 2004 and 2003, and each year we have noticed a significant increase in enquiries.”

Conference Leeds hopes the initiative will help the organisation top 2005, which was its most successful year to date.
