Milne Takes on vice chair Role at MIA

Nick Milne will become vice chair of the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) following three years on the organisation’s council.

"The MIA has taken enormous steps in the past few years and it's a really exciting time to be involved," commented Milne. "The introduction of buyers into our membership and the excellent initial feedback we've had from AIM, all contribute to my delight in holding the position of vice chair."

Milne, who has previously held positions as general manager of Down Hall Country House Hotel and group operations manager of Veladail Hotels, is one of the longest serving members of the MIA council. Milne currently heads up the conference operation at Robinson College, Cambridge, a fore-runner in the conference market within the academic sector.

"Nick's invaluable experience and commitment to the MIA were a key factor in his election of Vice Chair," commented Michael Scroop, Chairman of the MIA. "It's personalities such as Nick that ensure the continued long term success of the association."

Milne will continue his responsibility for the AIM accreditation scheme for the MIA.
