Business performance specialist Motivcom plc has acquired Motivation Travel Management (MTM), one of the UK's leading incentive travel companies for an initial consideration of £860,000 rising to £1.5 million based on the performance of the business over the next two years.
Motivcom already owns another incentive travel business, Archer Young Marketing (AYM), and the two companies will be fused to form AYMTM. With MTM's strong history in the automotive trade it will compliment AYM's strong presence in IT and Telecoms.
The combined business will be a genuinely integrated marketing services company specialising in performance improvement, motivation and incentive programmes, incentive travel, marketing communications and event management.
John Derrick will become Managing Director of the new business reporting to Motivcom board director Nigel Cooper. The board of AYMTM will include MTM director John Lawson and Archer Young directors Natalie Gunson and Helena Winter Brown.
"This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our position in this market by creating a major new business to operat alongside our p&mm travel and events division,” said Cooper. "John Derrick is one of the industry's most experienced and capable operators, and together with John Lawson and the team at MTM, they have built a highly successful and competitive organisation with an impressive track record and client list.”
