The meetings industry’s flagship trends report, the UK Conference Market Survey (UKCMS), produced by the The Right Solution on behalf of the Meetings Industry Association (MIA), will be launched during National Meetings Week at the National History Museum on 18 October 2007.

“This is the most eagerly anticipated launch to date. The UK Conference Market Survey is the industry’s leading research and it makes sense for the results to be published alongside one of the industry’s biggest events, National Meetings Week,” said MIA chief executive Jane Evans. “Each year we look to provide the industry with an unrivalled insight into the UK’s meetings and events market, and this year is no different."

This launch event will take place at the Natural History Museum’s Earth Galleries, where guest speaker Rohit Talwar, a UK-based global futurist and strategist, highly regarded for his innovative thinking and thought provoking concepts, will provide insightful, entertaining and thought-provoking comment on global trends and challenges.

In an initiative to add more value to MIA membership, the organisation will also be providing its members with a free copy of the report, which in previous years has cost £155.

The UKCMS includes information on the volume and value of the UK meetings market, along with the duration, size, lead times and seasonality of events and typical delegate profiles. The report also contains the results of interviews with 300 not-for-profit associations and 300 corporate buyers of conference and meetings facilities and services. It highlights what's happening in the UK conference and meetings market and where it's heading.
